Writing Web Copy That Works

If you write for the web read this article. Ms Dwyer makes excellent points (many of which I am going to apply to my redesigned site soon), the only one I am waffling on is writing in first and second person. Common business practice is to write in the third person for things like “Larix Consulting believes that technology is not the solution to all problems.” While saying “I believe that technology is not the solution to all problems” is personal, is it less professional?
