Today's highlights: Intrinsyc J-Integra; IM Migration from AOL; Virtual Global TeamIntel 2004i Lite; and InfoWorld on hosted collaboration;

  • Intrinsyc Software introduced the J-Integra Interoperability Suite, enabling developers to mix-and-match Java tools with Microsoft and legacy applications. “The J-Integra Interoperability Suite currently consists of four licensable software products that are tailored to solve a wide range of Java interoperability challenges: J-Integra for COM, J-Integra for Exchange, J-Integra for .NET and J-Integra for Legacy. The suite also comes with a Microsoft Visual Studio .NET plug-in.” J-Integra for Exchange provides full access to all current and older versions of Exchange Server, including messages, folders, stores and protocols.   • Three more companies announced migration offers for customers currently with the AOL Enterprise IM Gateway: FaceTime, Akonix and Omnipod.
  • Virtual Global released TeamIntel 2004i Lite, a free version of its teamwork and task management offering. It “empowers team members to assign, track and manage tasks without the usual coordination headaches. TeamIntel is suited for highly interactive small business teams such as contractors, proposal writers, lawyers, and accountants, and is also scalable to fit even the largest of organizations.” Available free for teams of up to 25 users. biz.yahoo
