  • Magic4 and Colibria announced that their wireless IM products work together based on the IMPS standard from the Open Mobile Alliance. Magic4 writes “device independent” IM clients, and Colibria is a developer of presence, IM and community messaging solutions. Magic4
  • Bentley Systems released the 2004 Edition of its ProjectWise V8 project collaboration server, an offering that combines document and content management, workflow management, content querying, distribution, and lifecycle asset management.   • Instant Messaging Planet published a review of IMlogic's IM Manager 6.0, an “IM monitoring and control system” for enterprise IM.   • With Microsoft putting a higher focus on its search strategy, Osterman Research says that “Longhorn [the next release of Windows] will add significantly better search capabilities than are available in Windows or Exchange today …. Longhorn's business users will have an easier time searching through documents, e-mails, and even MSN instant messaging (IM) transcripts.” line56.com
