From Shared Spaces July 13. I think the last bullet point is interesting. I wonder if Yahoo and AIM can't make it work how will they. I've very doubtful of private IM. Even Groove and Shinkuro, both of which I like very much, don't eliminate the need for me to have MSN or Yahoo installed to connect with other folks. I think the better solution is for companies to invest in technology that let's employees use the public networks more safely and securely.

- Groove Networks released Version 3.0 of Groove, its peer-to-peer collaborative workspace client, with a revised name of Groove Virtual Office. New features: folder synchronization of Windows file folders, enhanced forms tool for building forms-based collaborative workspaces, and a new user interface, among others. - IBM released IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express, which is Lotus Domino for messaging at a special licensing fee for small and medium-sized businesses. Available immediately. IBM
- BT and Microsoft have gone live with the integration between BT's audio conferencing services in the UK and the US and Microsoft's Office Live Meeting service for web conferencing. Microsoft
