Radicati fallout

Summary:The saga continues. I've been reading some
interesting posts about Radicati. I think what is all boils down
to is consulting and market research groups get a lot of traffic and
(virtual) ink when they make bold statements. Unfortunately it
may have backfired on them this time. Frankly, I never liked
Notes. It drove me nuts, especially that you couldn't tell
(easily) what you had done with a message besides read it.
But
personal opinions aside using someone's name as a customer without
their permission is definitely not the way to get publicity.

  1. Hi Tris, yes, this is no way to get publicity. Re “Notes” and its ability to display what you'd done with a message, what you say is true of older versions, but is no longer the case. If you had the time, check out the new Notes 6.5.x client.

  2. I'm glad Notes has added that. After the merger of Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham into GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), there was a corporate decision to switch to Notes. Most GW folks (we were Outlook/Exchange) grumbled a lot.
