Globetechnology–Wallpaper shields Wi-Fi networks

Interesting article from the Globe & Mail. This dovetails nicely with another article I read over the weekend about wireless network security. The article found here “How Secure is Your Wireless Network, discusses how easy it is for people to snoop and intercept wireless signals. Though the wirless security article is good but it leaves out filtering for specific MAC addresses of authorized computers and doesn't discuss the performance hit WEP entails. All that said though wireless security is important, and everyone with a wireless network at home should be aware of the risks and preventions.

Wireless networks are great and a boon to teleworkers, but you do have to do a little reading to stay safe.

Globetechnology: “British defense contractor BAE Systems has developed a stealth wallpaper designed to stop electronic eavesdropping on Wi-Fi networks.

The company has produced panels designed to prevent outsiders from listening in on companies' Wi-Fi traffic but let other traffic through, including radio and mobile phone signals.”
