I’ve lost count of the number of OSes I’ve tried on my netbook (an Asus Eee PC 901, btw). It started with WinXP then I’ve tried various flavors of Linux and even made a Hackintosh, but since I switch off XP one thing or another didn’t work quite right. Maybe the sound, or microphone, or webcam, or something. Rather annoying for sure.

I picked up an Asus Eee PC 901 just before I went on vacation. I got it because I figured I could get some writing done and such. I didn’t really tap into it’s power then, sure I wrote some, but I stayed offline the whole time in Jamaica so it’s utility wasn’t huge.

Mark Evans’ idea for a BlogBook is a great one—How About a BlogBook? | Mark Evans—, but you don’t have to wait for marketing geniuses to create one, it’s pretty simple to just DIY it.
