Just as a little follow up to a post from almost a month ago—I’m back in Twitter’s search index: what will the result be?—yes, there has been a difference. The main difference is more traffic to posts from the tweets that get sent out (since they are indexed now) and that I’m getting more followers per day. Are these important? You bet they are! I’m using Twitter a one of the ways I get the word out about my books, posts, etc. So if these aren’t picked up widely, well that’s not very helpful. More followers? No, it’s not about ego, it’s about reach. Followers retweet and comment.
Simple as that. Being back in Twitter’s index (or out of) makes a difference.
Now, I wonder what that means for the power of Google and SEO. Let’s leave that for another post, shall we?
