In case you’re wondering (because I would be if I were you), I wrote Using WordPress for WordPress 3.0. Actually, I started writing it when WordPress 2.8 was the current version, then switched to WordPress 2.9 when it was released, then switched to WordPress 3.0 alpha as soon as I could.
The end result is that when it cam time to review all the chapters, I rewrote anything that conflicted or had been updated under WordPress 3.0. So Using WordPress covers:
- The updated Dashboard
- WordPress Menus
- The new Twenty Ten theme
- And anything else you can think of that is new, cool, updated, or different in WordPress 3.0
And since the dev team for WordPress is going to take a break from updating WordPress itself for this cycle to focus on other parts of the WP ecosystem, Using WordPress should be a valuable resource for some time to come.
