Just in time for WordCamp Vancouver have a chapter of Using WordPress for you to download and read.
Chapter 7 covers all the basics of WordPress themes and, yes, it does include WordPress 3. I didn’t get into Custom Post Types or Custom Taxonomies in this chapter because it’s beyond the scope of the intended audience (novice users). As the beginning of the chapter says, this isn’t the final, production version of the chapter. I still get one more kick at it before it’s published. So if there are errors, typos or omissions, please let me know.
This “Using…” series is a brand new one for QUE and Pearson and one thing that will set it apart is that each chapter includes videos and audio commentary. So you don’t feel short-changed, after the jump I’ve included the three videos and podcast that go with the chapter.
