Good man. I advise my clients to forgo social media more often than not because it's not the silver bullet that every "marketing guru" on Twitter thinks it is.

Going back to what marketing is, you're delivering a specific offer to a specific audience, and sometimes, that offer or that market (or even the company itself) just won't click with social media.

Thanks Catherine! You can come speak at my class now anytime!

Yes you can't just jump into a lake and then decide not to swim. You can't step into social media and do it half way.

I definitely agree with this. If a small business doesn't have the time or money to build a proper website, it's almost better to have no presence on the web save for their contact information, logo and address.

Social media is even worse. If you're not regularly tweeting, engaging, maintaining a consistent Facebook presence, you shouldn't bother. A corporate blog that hasn't been updated in two months looks ridiculous.

(That's why my blog doesn't mention that I'm a contractor, ha!)
