I’m working on Chapter 3 right now. I’m doing the “author review” or AR, which means that the chapter has had its technical review (it passed) and content review, and it’s been send back to me to do final edits before it is prepared for publication. As it happens , chapter 3 is all about writing blog posts. Not just the technical stuff, but also the art and craft of writing. Where does inspiration come from? What is your writing “voice”? All those fun, easy topics (yeah right). I have to say that my creative and writing juice was running a little slow so I decided to take a break and check email and such.
And here’s what happened.
First I saw that Amanda Coolidge was following me on Twitter. So I followed her back and decided to check out her blog. Which led me to find Pomplamoose’s cover of “Single Ladies” (do click and listen, didn’t embed it as I usually would because there is a podcast coming).
And whammo I was inspired. I think I watched the video 5 times, in addition to several of their other videos. The music, the videos, the girl’s voice and expressions, the dancing. Yeah it all just got my creative mind rolling.
So, instead of writing this all out, I decided to record a little podcast. Enjoy…
