		<description>Thanks for this. I was totally confused about the whole effort. I wasn&#039;t sure if it was a protest against the Olympics themselves (dudes, you can close the door but that horse is in Atlin by now) certain policies of the organizers, or what. Now that I understand, of course I support this effort. 

Vancouver&#039;s citizen journalists have done an exceptional job of covering the last several Olympics, and have, in fact, become known worldwide for it. This is a creative proposal that would ensure that, rather than taking an oppositional stance, Vancouver&#039;s citizen journalists take one in support of the Olympics and civic pride.

But, frankly, I believe the people at VANOC to be too paranoid to agree to it. Sadly, I don&#039;t think it will ever happen with their permission. Which, of course, doesn&#039;t mean you can&#039;t do it without; it just means they will make their own nightmare come true.
