Hugh Macleod, who I’ve occasionally clashed with but hold in high esteem, has been hinting about his new secret plan to take over the world. He just wrote a post talking about the famous “blue monster” cartoon—gapingvoid: "cartoons drawn on the back of business cards": blue monster intro: the backstory—as another hint. That and “Hope you like whiskey…”
Whiskey? No problem for me, but what about this secret plan.
I have no idea what he’s up to, but I have this sneaking suspicion that we’re all going to be talking about it.
I think most of us will probably like it, I’m betting it might also be controversial and maybe the ever-sought-after “game changer”.
I think the only thing left is to sit back, maybe with a wee dram of something, and wait for Hugh to fill in the rest of the picture.

No worries about clashes in the past. Pretty minor stuff, I thought at the time. You is good people, from what I can tell.
No, I’m not going into the whisky business. That was a reference to my previous post:
“As a marketing blogger, I get asked a lot, “What is the future of marketing?”
I always answer the same: “The Blue Monster”.
What’s The Blue Monster?
A Blue Monster is a Social Object that articulates a Purpose-Idea.
What’s a Social Object? What’s a Purpose-Idea?
Sit yourself down, pour yourself another glass of whisky. This might take a while to explain…”

@Hugh, Thx that means a lot. Social objects yes, I completely see that. Powerful stuff, back to our basic need and attraction to symbols. Symbols, and ideas, these have tremendous power.
@Dario well things are becoming clearer now.
Pity that there isn’t a MacLeod Scotch coming. Rather partial to single malts myself.
