MyBlogLog Community manager and geekyfantastic uber blogger Robyn Tippins told me that she has been tapped to mange the Yahoo Developer Tools Yahoo Platforms section.? Her new, official title is: Developer Tools for the Yahoo! Applications Platform.? I think that title is almost as long as Robyn is tall!
Of course the MBL community will miss Robyn, but from talking to Robyn about her new position (before it could be discussed publicly), I can tell she is excited about what Yahoo has planned.
The social media world has become all about web-based apps now, hasn?t it?? Now the question is what will the target be.? I don?t think you need to be a rocket scientist to make some good guesses.
Robyn?s work with MBL building that community makes her a great choice for helping coordinate and work with third-party developers to build upon the Y! platform.
Robyn told me today:
I?m sad to be leaving MyBlogLog, but the chance to get to work with the developer community again is again is something that is very exciting to me. How can I pass up a chance to get nerdy again?
Yeah, no kidding, what true geek can pass up the chance to get their fingers into the development of new and cool stuff!? Best of luck Robyn!
Update: Here is Robyn?s final post on the MBL blog.
