Robert Sanzalone covered the kick off of Vancouver?s FreetheNet movement last month?I Want My Wi-Fi Free?and I?ve wanted to do this for a long time myself.? I was in Vancouver last week and picked up one of the Meraki Mini devices that FreeTheNet have purchased.? It was only $60 and could very well replace my current network router, but I?m keeping that for now.

Regardless, my free node is set up, tested, and functional.? Where is it?? Right here?

My node is free and has a capped bandwidth at 5 megs downstream.? I hope to be able to convince some more folks in the building to get more nodes.

Until then if you?re on Quadra near Cloverdale?
