I have been a big fan of Windows Live Writer (beta) for a while. Good solid app, nice feature set, but… But it hadn't been updated in a long time, plus some annoying bugs (like not getting the post time/date right when pre-posting), made me cool off on it a bit. I've been using BlogDesk a lot lately and tried Post2Blog yesterday, but I was rather pleased to see Live Writer get a spiffy update yesterday:
Windows Live Writer has been available since last August as an early beta providing a powerful Windows client for bloggers – but supporting US English only. The Windows Live Writer 2.0 beta includes a stack of new capabilities and improvements based on feedback from the Live discussion forums and support for 8 more languages: UK, Spain, France, Germany, Japanese and Chinese. Taking particular note of support for the Queen's English – so the spell checker now works correctly

I got it downloaded and installed and all my blogs re-added. Looks like I might stick with it, assuming that post in the future works.
