Matt announced on his blog and Toni went into more detail on his, about the new WSJ affiliated site AllThingsD:

Allthingsd.com, a great looking new site by famous Walt Street Journal journalists Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg launched today. We?re particularly excited about this project because they chose WordPress MU for their publishing platform and we are VIP hosting the site for them on our WordPress.com server infrastructure. The site includes four separate blogs (including one by John Paczkowski of Good Morning Silicon Valley fame), lots of video, guest bloggers, and free access to a couple of years worth of Walt Mossberg WSJ columns (I think this is a first).

This is huge.  This is a WSJ site.  Two of their best tech journalists are on the leader board, with more contributing, what could be better?  Walt Mossberg's old columns are going to be there too.  This is a superb model for other MSM outlets to look at and copy.  Come on you get your writers out there in social media and you get more space for advertisers that doesn't compete with your print publication.

The fact that they chose WP and WPMU just makes it even cooler.  Hmm, maybe it's time for me to download and try WPMU again …

Maybe it's time for the National Post or Globe and Mail networks to jump on this bandwagon?
